i received someone else's acceptance letter

after weeks of waiting, the “large” envelope arrived from tulane. I opened it quickly, saw the word “congratulations” and stopped reading. I was in! i was going to tell my mom that i got in, but she wasnt home at the time, so i went to work, figuring i would call her from work and tell her. Once at work, i called my mom and told her that i got in and she said: “I know, i saw the letter, only it wasnt written to you, it was written to _____” For the rest of my shift, i thought about whether or not i got in or not and whether or not my mom was just playing a trick on me (as i didnt read the letter except the first word). Turns out that the envelope was addressed to me, but the actual letter was written to someone else. I will call tulane tomorrow, hope i got in!

fingers crossed for ya mate,.... it would be terrible of them to have sent it to the wrong person, so terrible then they should admit you just for the cruel, crue mistake, but seriously, i hope the mistake was just the name, not the address.

hopefully you've got mine:)

(i'm sorry just got deferred by my 1st choice today)

Probably yours is in the envelope addressed to the other person :)

Yes, hopefully you did get in mentos24. Perhaps the person whose letter you got, got your letter. That's majorly stupid of Tulane to make such a mistake though. Everyone's always saying, don't make one cookie cutter essay that you send to all your colleges because you'll end up with a mistake like, "...and that is why I want to attend Darthmouth," on your app to Harvard. Way to go, Tulane.
