My mom and I are in kind of a rush to get my application in. After I completed my application, we wanted to get the SAT scores there as soon as possible, so we chose the rush option. Neither of us are very experienced with this process, so we thought it was the correct option. Now, after browsing some threads here, I’ve learned that not only does it not get there faster, some colleges don’t like it. I can’t find it anywhere on their website, but can someone please tell me whether or not University of Arizona has some kind of rule against rushed scores, or if they just don’t like them? Thanks in advance.
I’ve never heard of any school having an issue with rushed scores - can you provide a link to where you read this was a problem?
Afaik, they just get yours earlier than they would have - I doubt they even know it was rushed.
There’s a bunch that I’ve seen on here, but here’s this one for example. The first reply talks about some schools not wanting them, and how it doesn’t get to them any quicker than the regular way:

Stop and THINK about it for a minute.
UAz gets more than FORTY THOUSAND applications every year.
Do you really think that they have the time to pick out who rushed their scores?
What colleges don’t like is late applications. Most don’t care if your app & scores are in a minute/day/week/month before the deadline. They have more important things to worry about.
Your link is several years old- now that all score reports go in the same way (digitally) it’s really not a deal. The handful of colleges (like UMi) who don’t accept them say so on their websites.
I have. UMich has been saying it for years.

The issue being that some colleges want to receive everything electronically and rushed scores, at least in the past, were always paper.
But for the OP, AFAIK Arizona does not prohibit rushed scores.
In general, rushing saves little/no time, so is a waste of money. Also, in general, if a college prohibits something, it will say so, and not make you guess.
