On my University of Washington application I stated that I was retaking the ACT in December. I already submitted my SAT score report and my October ACT report, so they already have ACT and SAT scores from me. However, while I was planning to take the December ACT, I was unable to at the last minute due to a schedule conflict. What I'm concerned about is that I stated on my application I was retaking the ACT, but I didn't. I tried emailing the admissions department about this but I never heard back. Should I be concerned? Does it matter if they already have scores from me?

It is bizarre that the admission department didn’t get back to you. If they don’t get back to you soon, maybe you should consider giving them a call. I wouldn’t be too worried though. Life happens.

Admissions is probably swamped with emails right now. Your best bet is to call them and let them know! That way, you talk to someone right away instead of being in a queue of emails.
Since you already had an ACT score in, I wouldn’t worry about it.
