Okay, so I just realized that I made a HUGE mistake on my UC application I recently submitted. I was using my CCC's online grades database to fill out my course history, not realizing that Ws don't show up on there; the course is just omitted. It completely slipped my mind (I don't know how) that I have 3 of them, and I didn't put them on the application! I know this is serious bad news if i get accepted.

Is there anything I can do? Can I tell them? Am I done for?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

doesn't your official transcript say all that? i think they care much more about the grades of the classes you actually completed. "w" i assume is for "withdrawn" or "withdrawal" or something, which my school denotes as a "dr" or "dropped". i don't think that you should be flipping out.

The grades you put on the application are self-reported, and they don't want to see your official transcript until after you've been accepted. Admission is contingent upon things matching up in this regard.

But you're right, Ws aren't that big of a deal. It's just that this kind of error could jeopardize an acceptance when they see, after the fact, that I had these 3 Ws that they had no idea about.

You can probably just send them a letter, apologizing for the inadvertant mistake. It might even help you. Upon voting admissions will be like "oh yeah, that was that one kid that forgot". No biggie, things like that has happened to me and it has always ended well.
P.S. do you get a W when you drop past a certain point or regardless?

You're so right. I don't think its too late, though. Contact somone immediately!

There is information on that site about making changes. But more importantly I think, each campus can be notified of the changes. On each school's admissions page they have information about either calling or emailing the school with any changes to your academic record.

So worried here. I started the submission process at 11:59 but didn’t realize they required a survey in the submission process. Thats a first I think. Anyway, am I screwed that I didn’t get it submitted until 12:01 a.m. Dec. 1 when the deadline was Nov. 30?

Did you get an email saying your UC app has been submitted? And go back on the website and check your application, if it said electronic signature submitted november 30th than you are fine.
