But I didn't realize it until I submitted it.

On my Santa Clara University supplement, I accidently messed up the last digit of my Social Security #. Does this affect me in anyway? For financial aid? Does it matter if it's only the supplement? I realize I can't take it back, and I guess this is a lesson for me to pay more attention to what I fill in. Then again, I did memorize my SS# that way for a while until I realized I was wrong, so...( > _ > )

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Restart the Common Application?

Do not restart the Common Application. Santa Clara does not want to receive two supplements from an applicant. That will just cause more confusion and possibly delay the processing of your application.

If you find any error in the information that you submitted to a member college you should contact that member college to let them know about the error and provide the correct information. Be sure to include your full name in your communication - the same one you used to register for your Common App Online account - as well as your Common App ID. You can find your CA ID in the top near the top left corner of the Common App Online after you have logged in.

If you email Santa Clara I highly recommend that you do not include your full SSN in your email since email is not secure. Just include the correct last 4 digits.

And, yes, definitely proofread all your information very carefully before submitting!!

Oh, okay. Thank you very much for your reply!

Haha, I’ll try very, very hard to not miss anything for the rest of my applications. Again, thank you.
