I screwed up sophomore first semester, can I still get Into Berkeley?

As you can see by the title, I screwed up. Big time. My grades first sem:
PE- A
SPANISH - A
ENGLISH - B
AP Euro- C
Programming- A
Biology- B
Algebra 2- C

Second semester ALL A’s and throughout the rest of high school
I took 8 APs with mostly 5’s on the tests
I screwed up because I’ve been depressed with the death of my grandpa, and just other stuff. I have pretty good extracurriculars like volunteering, internships, tutor/teacher, prestigious awards, and an athlete. So can I still get into Berkeley? Or maybe even UCLA? UC Davis?

There really isn’t anyway to tell until you finish your Jr year and have you test scores too. There is more to the application than one semester grades. But finishing the 2nd semester with stronger grades helps. PE does not count. You should push yourself but not take classes you can’t handle going forward. It is always wise to apply widely in the UC system because there are more applicants than seats.
