I sent my application to Indiana University through the Common Application, but i’ve only gotten an email from IU saying they’re reviewing my application, but i was suppose to receive an email giving me a username and password to check on my application status, i haven’t received one. what should i do?

You can call admissions and ask them. If I remember last year, it took a while for IU to even download my D’s application. I don’t remember when she received her password to log in and check the status.

When did she apply? and how late did she hear back?

@n_ray she applied the first week of August last year and she heard back I believe in mid October. We heard back first from Kentucky at the end of September, two other schools we heard back in mid October and IU was the next to last for her to hear from. Of the 5 schools she applied, 4 we had a decision by end of October. The 5th schools we heard in late November. Most of her friends that applied had similar time frames.

Also, I just looked back and it appears that once they downloaded the App from the common app, we had her log in ID within 2 weeks.

We applied Aug 29 they received transcript Sep 19 and on Sep 27 emailed to say we would have a decision early October

Has anyone gotten their acceptance yet?

Yes, no email, but checked status online: Congratulations! You’ve been admitted to Indiana University Bloomington. You should receive an email within one week of the date of your acceptance that provides information about your next steps. Welcome to the IU family!

Notices will come out online first and then within a week or so you get your Red Envelope in the mail. Just started to see people posting yesterday so my guess would be a lot of you will start hearing something in the next two weeks. I did look back last night and my D found out on 10/8 of last year.

I applied at the beginning of October. How long do you think it will be until I get a decision?

My son applied towards the end of September. Was admitted 10/13/2017. Of course, he didn’t tell us until 10/15/2017

Got accepted via email but no letter yet in the mail. Wondering if I have a chance for oos scholarship with 3.73 gpa, 32 ACT, 4 on Lang Comp AP exam: 3 season athlete: captain senior year of cross country team. Any shot for merit money?

@Adhoc17 Is the 3.73 weighted? If so, you might get a small scholarship, but I wouldn’t count on much. IU seems to value GPA over test scores which hurts you

My son applied on 10/22 and on 11/3 the website said,“Congratulations! You’ve been admitted to Indiana University Bloomington. You should receive an email within one week of the date of your acceptance that provides information about your next steps. Welcome to the IU family!”

@sdevorefl congrats to your son! Can you share his stats pls, also OOS or Instate?

I applied 10/25. Got an email 10/28 saying they received my app. Should I be hearing within the next couple of days?

I sent in my app to Indiana University - Bloomington on 10/30 and ideas as to when I should receive a decision? Also, will the decision (if acceptance) include scholarship/financial aid package?

I applied 10/25. Got an email 10/28 saying they received my app. Saw my acceptance on the portal today.

I applied August 13th and I have not heard back yet. Possibly because my transcript sent late.
