lol i agree with strawbearries… pretty hardcore :P

lmao!!! Oh yeah, I’m paying my sister to do my homework (well, it’s a poster I have to do for AVID) for me since I need time for AP studying.

I’ve been good and haven’t skipped any classes all semester. I’ve been saving all the “excused absences” our school allows for AP week. :)

Hey what kind of consequences could come from randomly bubbling in the STAR/state testing that’s coming up in a week, and the pulling out an AP prep book?

@hobbithill: My school has actually been dealing with that (going so far as to propose a narrowly-unapproved plan where those who did not score at least basic had to take a review class the following year); it definitely will hurt the school (they have something called an API based off of test scores that they can use to brag about) and maybe the teacher, but probably (unless your school has some sort of previously unknown action plan) not you. I really don’t know if colleges look at that stuff or not; I doubt they do. I’m trying on my state testing anyway; even after meticulously doing and double-checking the problems, I usually still have a good amount of time left over, and I think teachers see that score even if colleges don’t.

I skipped school one time last year, the day before my AP Chem test (and got the cut approved by my parents), but it turned out to be the same day where my Spanish class gave out a rare (seriously, she picked that ONE day) extra-credit assignment that I couldn’t make up. I learned my lesson and decided to just study during classes where I could get away with it instead.

I study during classes but I’m probably going to end up skipping 1st period a lot during ap week because it gives me extra time to sleep in
I’m just worried about what my teacher would think of me, i’ve skipped 1st period like 7 times already this year due to several “orthodontist appointments”, “dentist appointments”, “allergies”, and a headache

if i wanted to skip school before my ap exams though, my parents would probably approve. they love when i study…

I’m going home right after I finish each AP exam to have about half the day to study for the next day’s exam.
