I sort of messed up

Female, Asian, 11th grade (Note: I switched to a fairly difficult boarding school for 11th and 12th grade).

So, I posted on this forum before. But I didn't realize that 1) I estimated my GPA incorrectly and 2) I thought that one of the grades I had was a B but it was actually a C.

I received a C in AP Physics C last semester (junior year) and might get another C this semester.... The rest of my grades this semester will be A's.

SAT I: 2350
SAT II's:

Math 2: 800
History: 780
Chemistry:800

GPA (unweighted): 3.83 (current)

I will be doing research at Harvard this summer (studying inflammatory responses with Crohn's disease). I will most likely be getting a recommendation letter from my mentor at Harvard

EC's:

Editor of newspaper: 7th - 10th
President of chess club: 7th - 10th
Civinettes: 9th - 10th
Mock trial attorney - 9th
Math Team vice president: 9th - 10th
Varsity tennis team: 7th - 10th (played doubles).
Piano: 11 years or so
Karate: 8 years or so. I placed 2nd in fighting/3rd in kata at the nationals qualifier. So I qualified for nationals but was unable to attend because of math camp.
Participated in ARML (American Regions Mathematics League)/attend math circle

Tutored students in classes they needed help in.
Hospital volunteering (200+)

Camps:
Ross Mathematics Program (rigorous number theory camp (summer after 8th grade))
Texas Honors Summer Math Camp (2 years. summer after 9th and 10th grade)
- Did math research there on 'Calculating and Optimizing Average distances in Cayley Graphs'. Didn't get very far so wasn't able to enter into Siemens or publish in a paper.

Courses I've taken: AP Calculus BC, US govt/economics, Spanish 4, Chem 1, Bio 1, Physics 1.

Courses I'm currently taking: AP Stats, AP Physics C, AP Chem, APUSH, English, Irish History.

Chance me at:

Ivies
Johns Hopkins
Washington University St Louis
University of South Carolina (honors)
Berkeley

Thanks.

Anyone else willing to chance me? I will chance back.

I have to agree. Your stats are great and so are your ec’s. But like the previous opinion stated, ivies see this every day. You’re great at math (as far as I can tell), so why not try to qualify for USAMO?

If you don’t get accepted, it won’t be for grades. It will be because of a lack of uniqueness. Your grades are great, but so are most of the kids who apply to these schools. What sets you apart? Seems like Karate might be kinda unique for you, but everything else is very similar to many other applicants. So although you have as good a chance as any other high-achiever, pick out some good safeties, as well, just in case.
