i got deffered

kidA, did you just find that out or something? I really can't wait anymore. I wanna go to Michigan!!

Well, how many people are they probably accepting this year in total, considering dorm renovations?.... and from that number how many spots are left for kids who were deferred?

They're accepting 40% of how many deferred kids?

Is it fair to guess that anyone below 2000 was deferred automatically, and anyone below like 1800 was rejected? My guess is 1800-2000 SATs = deferral this year....any thoughts on that guess? Anyone hear anything different to dispute that?

Not really, I was deferred and i had 2340 but i applied really late, but last week i got accepted to LSA so its fine.

so they are mailing out decisions for deferred people then?
they must have mailed them out for everyone this weekend right so they'd get all over by the 15th?

has anyone with under a 1900 SAT gotten in after a deferral? Just curious since KING got a letter maybe others might have too.

when you all say you were deferred, when did you apply and when did you hear from them? Also for those who were deferred in the first place and got acceptance letter, when did you apply and when did you get the letter?

I had a 1920 SAT and got in, but I did have a much higher ACT.

One girl at my school got in with a 16-something , but she had a better ACT.

It's wierd because everyone is saying this year is so hard, but there were some questionable kids that got in at my high school.

you instate, supergravity?

I applied in Mid-October (they got the last piece Nov 11) and was deferred Dec 15. I have 2250 SATs (took it once). So, I dont believe the SAT cut-off thing, especially for out-of-state. I kinda assumed I would know either way - 6 months ago- definately hurt my opinion of the school, which was REALLY high this fall.

One of my friends was deferred/accepted with like a 3.79 and 1800ish...and she applied two weeks before the deadline.

Coming from balmy California.

anyone from NY hear anything after a deferral? or nearby states??

Yeah, I'm in-state. so i know getting in is much easier.

i got deffered like last month, got a letter saying that they'll review my application again..this is killin me, i wish i was black or spanish. i really hate affirmative action.

So when is the absolute latest we can hear by?

I was deferred and have not heard, very anxious to get news.
ACT 26
unweighted 3.5
weighted 4.5
EC: very good, service, 3 sports (captain), boards, etc.
very competitive HS

do you know anything about the international students?

BigE- i dont think anyone really know the absolute latest, as previously posted all decisions are said to be out by April 15th. However, based on how UMich has changed the date twice already, i wouldnt take that as a garuntee.

There are no cutoffs like that (based on a specific score or GPA).
