and I’m starting to worry. Anyone else in the same boat?

My son has not heard anything, either, and neither has another friend of his. We keep checking the website for "application status" but the message continues to be something to the effect of "applications are currently being reviewed..." "we'll let you know if you are missing anything..." (not exact words).

I called the admissions office early last week and they told me that another (last) wave of letters would go out this coming week. What's curious to me is that I have not heard about a single rejection. The candidates I have spoken with or whose posts I have read have either been accepted, or not heard anything. Hmmm!

Hang in there! I hope the news for you (and my son) will be worth the wait!

MY S has not heard yet either. The admissions counselor told him that they are working as quickly as they can to get him a decision - and said she would get back to him, but maybe not til end of the month and she thanked him for his patience.
As for posts- don't forget - people who don't get in may not want to talk about it

I have not received anything either...I hope we all get in, Good Luck to everyone!

nothing on my end either.

gwu_girl: they probably saw your CC username

i've not heard yet either :\ gah

that's really wierd the best I can say is they are sending the letters out in waves because everyone in my area already got thier decision. Keep hope alive.

Nate -did anyone who heard in your area get rejected?

I really hope none of us are rejected.

I hope so too Ryansheart - hang in there - it should be over in the next few days. Where else did you apply?

I applied to Drexel University-got in, University of Pittsburgh from out of state-deferred Fall 09 but accepeted for the Spring semester, UMass Amherst-have not received anything, Boston University-they called asking for the rest of my financial aid application about 5 days ago which makes me think I have been accepeted but not sure, New York University-have not heard anything, American-Have not heard anything, Cornell and Yale-already know that answer and have not received anything, and I tried to get into Emory, Vanderbilt, and NC State. What about you?

Got into Drexel too - it sounds like you are definitely in at Boston U if they asked for that stuff. I got into Penn State Altoona, Suffolk U. Rejected from Emerson and Syracuse. I am going for film/tv so pool was somewhat limited. Still waiting to here from American and Hofstra.
Are you considereing Drexel?

PShap91, hahaha I hope not.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I hope we have good news awaiting us. It really does concern me that only acceptances have been sent out... I felt rather confident about AU.

I still haven't heard anything either. I would be surprised if i didn't get in. I've heard from schools who wanted better SATs than American; I got in there. Everyone in my school who applied got in on the first wave. But I didn't apply until late because of my ED school getting back to me late with its rejection.

I don't know... I'd be pretty "***" if I got rejected from AU.

It depends on where else I get into school ASG, if I get into Boston University and depending on the financial aid then probably no, but if I am rejected from there then Drexel.

American received over 16000 applications. My son heard today that he was waitlisted. SATs were 800 V -630 M 750 W 5s in two AP courses.

Still nothing...

i still haven't heard and i'm freaking out. everyone in my city that applied was accepted and heard 2 weeks ago. does this mean rejection or that I was wait listed?
