Good luck! What major are you applying for?

I'm applying as a CS major.

Good luck! What major are you applying for?

I'm applying as a CS major.

i'm thinking of doing either economics/international studies/anthropology. not sure at this point, haha.

what about the payment id? should i use that?

i applied to school of communication

I suppose it depends. There's also a lot less people who are accepted at the other schools, just because WCAS is the biggest.
I'm still undecided. Somewhere between econ/philosophy/physics and astronomy/computer science/slavic studies. Basically, I have no idea.
So does anybody else see all the people who are applying here, or even at their school and freak out. I mean, I go to IMSA and we don't gave class rank so I have no idea who's applying ED or what they are compared to me. I just know that lots of people are applying overall, and remind myself to breathe. :D
I suppose I'm just a worrywort. There's nothing I can do now...

haha i'm so (and will continue to be) nervous. december 15th is way too far away.

Yeah what they really need is instant college decisions. Gahh, why do we have to wait until the 15th? Also I just discovered that another girl at my school applied ED as well so I have to compete with her too... sigh

HAHAHA instant college decisions.

There might be one girl at my school applying ED to WCAS, but my counselor said that I shouldn't worry... therefore, I will try to not go crazy. Wouldn't that be a good idea? :)

And yes, December 15th is sooo far away. I love how I still have to work on my other applications, just in case... xD

Some schools (specifically bad state schools) have instant decision application.

My friend got Rutgers decision in 2 days, and Rutgers isn't that bad no matter how bad its rep is in NJ. But yah im ED WCAS, hopefully we'll all see each other next year! BEST OF LUCK

ED to Communications for Media and Politics concentration. My supplement was around 800 words. I also did research supplement.

I cannot wait for a decision. I have no APP ID yet either.

isnt the supplement supposed to be a lot less than 800 words? now I wish I would've wrote more

It's supposed to be less than 300 words, according to posts from a few years ago. They don't want an essay >500 words I'm guessing...

i think that's for when northwestern had its own (separate) application. but now since it's part of the common app, i don't think there's really a word limit (otherwise they would've specified).

Yeah, there's no "said" limit for the essay.
I think it's kind of like the "limit" for the long essay of the Common App. People say it should be around 500-600 words only because of the past policy. I think someone confirmed with an admissions officer about what range the long essay should be in. They said 500-600 I believe.

LOL..Me 2..done on the 30th Oct.
I am pretty amazed that most people have written <300 in their "why NU" essay.
Seriously. I have written 245 words only XP
Cuz I thought I have to follow the "character range" in the box....

Best of luck people!

It's okay to have 245 words. As long as there's lot of substance to it, they should be fine with it. After all, their limit was 300 words before.

In my opinion, I think that content matters more than amount of words. I mean, you could write a lot of nothing in 300 or have something really meaningful in 800. I have yet to hear a college admissions person say that longer or shorter is worse. All you have to do is convey yourself. If you can do that in less amount of word, then more power to you. If you have a longer amount of words, then it better all be meaningful, and not bore the admissions people.

December 15th isn't really that far away... which could be good or bad. Hahaha.

So did anyone here apply to McCormick? O.o

One month from now =) They won't release decisions on a saturday, it'll be friday afternoon =P

Really? On Friday instead? That's really scary. One month. AAAH.

Oh, and I just found out someone else from my school applied ED =O
It was to Weinberg though. Apparently Weinberg and McCormick are considered separately(?). Hahaha.
