thanks for backing me up.

why is the title of this post "I suck at life." You may not be the best, but you definitely don't suck. The people who suck are the people who are those who drop out of school or don't go onto college and also (not to be offensive) some of the community college people (not all)

NOW What are my chances at
UC Berkeley
UC San Diego
UC Santa Barbara
UC Irvine
UC Davis
UC Santa Cruz
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
Vanderbilt
Boston University
University of Rochester
University of the Pacific
Harvey Mudd

Im kind of curious if I could get in Berkeley. Normally a school like that would be out of the question for me, but them putting emphasis on the writing sat section and not looking at frosh grades is huge for me. I may post a berkeley chances thread just for fun

M1st3rmarbl3s:

UCB: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Match
UCSC: Safe Match

Stop your cryin M1, I've been rejected to a moderate state school(ISU). With your credentials you should be fine in some schools you listed.

M1st3rmarbl3s I'm almost certain you will get into santa cruz, davis irvine n SB are all like coin tosses, but at least one of those as well. Irvine and under accepts a lot of people around your stats, (1260, 3.7 gpa) don't sweat at all, u might even get into SD. I know someone from SD with a 3.5 and 1250, no hooks.

ooops sorry didn't see the updated page, SD, IRvine, SB, Santa Cruz, ur all in i bet

Unfortunately, in admitting M1st3rmarbl3s we would have to admit the west coast schools are inferior, though they are not. Many things in life that appear backwards are not, because we are merely gazing in the mirror a bit too much.

Example at hand is a person wanting to attend a top U.S. school, who is obviously qualified, is clearly in touch with the world around him, yet is grossly near-sighted. He is physically endowed, yet is nearly crippled with insecurity. He is extremely intelligent, yet as a youth, he typically lacks the tactile skill of closing the eyes and feeling.

More to the point: It is regretable the person has never heard of William and Mary, Brown, Middlebury, the Univeristy of Michigan, Rio Grand College of Ohio, or Dartmouth to name of few of the dozens on the other side of the universe from his ocular perception. I would subtract a full measure from any school that would accept a person who was at the same time a Tae Quon Do behemoth and a, not to use a harsh word, scaredy-cat.

Get a grip: pick one or four of the best colleges in the U.S. and apply. Whimpering is not a Tae Quon Do skill.
