<p>Hey guys</p>

<p>I am a Canadian IB Student who is looking to go into pre med. Unfortunately, i am not quite sure about what i am going to major in. Anyway, I am looking for an honest opinion of whether you think(based on my stats and everything else) I have a chance at some top colleges. Some Background facts about me:</p>

<p>-Let me stress this. I do NOT need any Financial Aid for any Colleges.
-I am a South Asian Male who came to Canada when i was 13. Struggled with English first couple of years..</p>

<p><freshman year="">: I have all As(In Canada, that is 80+)
I am not sure about my GPA because we do not calculate it here but it is around 3.75
<sophomore year="">:Again, I have all As and my GPA is probably around 3.8
<junior year="">: Again, i have all As but i did much better and probably have a GPA of 3.9+.I've been told this year counts the most. </junior></sophomore></freshman></p>

<p>Again, these GPAs are all complete guesses because the GPA conversion scale is different for Canada than in America.Apparently colleges look at this differently. Upward Trend!</p>

<p>SAT 1:
Math: 780
Writing :720
Critical Reading: 670
Total:2170</p>

<p>I have not given the SAT Subject Tests yet but they should be good.</p>

UNC-Chapel Hill
University of Washington-St. Louis
McGill
University of Wisconsin-Madison</p>

<p>Please honestly tell me my chances at my dream school JHU and other ones i listed. Like I said, I can handle the truth!! Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate all the help :)</p>

<p>you are a very competitive applicant. compelling essays and you could get into all of them. id say</p>

cornell
jhu</p>

<p>match/safety:
umich
uwash st louis
mcgill</p>

<p>safety:
unc chapel hill
uwisconsin madison</p>

<p>wisco is somewhat of a safety</p>

<p>UNC chapel hill is NOT a safety for anyone out of state especially an international- so I would put UNC with cornell/JHU as low reach to reach</p>

<p>umich and mcgill are matches id say. </p>

if ur interested in premed, don't pass up on JHU, cornell or Umich (all are top 25 feeder school w/ tremendous GPA inflatioN)</p>

<p>I am applying to Johns Hopkins too and you are good competition. I think you have a fair shot at your dream school. As for the other schools, im not too sure</p>

<p>well... if you do want my chances .. this is what i think... however i could be wrong and you have better chance at JHU if you do ED .. possibly a low reach then? </p>
