but i definitely have strong letters&essays... so yeah, im looking for advice and opinions - THANKS for reading(:

Not enough info (e.g., what state, and any “hook” such as URM, etc?), but the combination of the 4.0 and excellent class rank (although I’m perplexed by your saying both “1 out of 275” and “top 1% to 5%”) and the solid but hardly overwhelming 30 on the ACT gives me pause.

Col '13 here. I think you have a pretty good chance. There are many students here with less impressive profiles. The ACT is low and I wouldn’t be surprised per se if you didn’t get in, but barring that the only thing you need is some luck, like everyone else.

In any case, you sound like the kind of person we’d like to have at GU. You’d probably have a blast playing band at our basketball games. Best of luck.

thanks guys! (not zyzzboi) um yeah im from Wisconsin and no hooks. im a girl but i dont think thats a URM lol

Your class rank and GPA will definitely get you noticed, but i think you could raise your ACT score a few points! Also, don’t forget about those SAT IIs. Your ECs seem pretty good too. Just work on those essays (:
