I think I finally recalculated my FSU Weighted GPA

Total: 47 --> 3.36 GPA

Spanish 2 - B/B = 6
English 2 Honors -B/B = 7
Geometry 1 Honors - A/C = 7
Chemistry 1 Honors - C/C = 5
AP Human Geography - B/B = 8
(half semester class) AP US Gov - C = 3
(half semester class) AP Comp. Gov - C = 3

Total 39 --> 3.25 GPA

11th grade

3.25 GPA

4.23 GPA

10.85
Divided by 3
3.61

This right guys?

Still, no. You’re averaging each year’s GPA, which would work if you had the same number of grades in each year, but you don’t. You have 14 grades one year, 12 another, and 13 another. Your individual yearly GPAs can’t be averaged to come up with your final GPA, as your yearly GPAs don’t all have the same number of grades.

Also, was making a new thread really necessary? You could have just condensed all of your threads into one. It would have been a lot easier.

Here, I recalculated your GPA for you:

[View image: GPA Calc](http://postimg.org/image/lhruegb7x/)

Some things that I noticed:
You have 1 D for a semester grade. That could get you deferred.

You also have 11 semester grades of a C. That could be something that works against you. FSU doesn’t mind a C here or there, but you have a lot of them.

In total, 12 of your 39 grades (30.77%) are Cs or below. That could be something that FSU doesn’t like.

Thanks a bunch Pasbal seriously.

That D for a semester grade will be an A when I make up the course.

Can’t do much about the C’s, your right. But, hoping for the best.

Maybe with my course rigor it will balance itself out.

FSU really needs to make a GPA calculator for HS students. Seems to be a lot of confusion about how to calculate the GPA. Most people think the GPA on their transcript is the one FSU will use.

There’s [a website that has a worksheet where you can calculate your GPA](http://cyberguidance.net/college/recalgpa.pdf) for schools like FSU. I agree though, there needs to be some calculator available for HS students to input their grades, the level of the class, and then for it to spit out their FSU GPA.

After all, [there’s already one for FSU students to calculate their GPA at FSU](http://mailer.fsu.edu/~phanowel/gpa/gpacalc.html).

Of course, it would also be nice if every school/school district just used the same GPA scale, so that colleges didn’t have to do all of the work internally. I still find it laughable when you see people with a GPA of like 7.55874893 graduating high school, knowing full well that it’s just because their school or school district has basically a GPA hyperinflation rule somewhere…

that even if the high school gives both As and A-s that they are both treated as As in the recalculation process?

Honestly, I’m not sure. But if there’s one thing I learned at FSU, it’s that assuming anything about the place was never a good idea.

I would say no, just because they aren’t technically the same, but I would get in contact with the office of admissions and ask them. You never know, they might consider all grades without the +/- scale.

Good job, Pasbal. :)
