thanks
anybody know about vandy scholarships?

I just checked out Vanderbilt this last weekend on a visit. Basically they typically give out scholarship to those with ACT 34+, which you are above. I would say that you have a good shot at a scholarship. I also believe that you don't have to fill out any separate forms for the scholarship, they look at your application. There are like 5 scholarship that you have to fill out separate forms, those are like diversity scholarships, community service scholarships etc. I'm pretty sure that it would be hard for Vanderbilt to turn you down. I would say that Duke is a mid-high match, and JHU is a match. Harvard is anyones guess... and UF,USF and UMiami are pretty much safety schools I would think.

thanks that was actually helpful!
i would really like 3/4 tuition for vandy
...but i think biomed at jhop may not be a "match"

Another thing about vandy is that they meet 100% of demonstrated need. I talked to the financial aid director while we were there and it was stated that about 80% of the financial aid package would be grant money. Which is money that you would not have to pay back. I am really looking at going to vandy, but do not have quite as good scores as you. Good luck

good luck to you too.
but i def won't qualify for any financial aid (high middle income)
looking for merit scholarships..and i know vandy has good ones
