I think I have decided

I think I have decided on where I will be going to college! Depauw University! I went and visited this past weekend for a recruit weekend for Cross country and track. I sat in on a couple classes, got a tour, and got a taste of the college. I adored every min of it. I plan on running there and the facilities are amazing, the team is great and the coach is the best. I cant wait, and I miss it already. THey offered me a heafty scholership, and said that they will continue to make it affordable if I need. The winter semester seems awesome, and the alumni connections are great.
Let me know what you think of depauw! Any opinoins...? anything i should know!?

I am still waiting on U of Rochester, and holy cross but i have a feeling I 1. wont be able to afford them and 2. I wont be admitted to either.
Thanks!

Good choice. And not too far from Chicago.

ccccccccccccccccc

Son visited junior year, interviewed for football. It was a very nice campus, with top-notch facilities, solid academics, huge endowment. Even though husband and myself were in the Greek system in college, the 75% membership stat was quite surprising to us. If you're comfortable with that, I'm sure you'll be just fine. Coming from Chicago, did you find the location a bit remote?

A friend's son is there on a track/cross country scholarship (from HI). He seems to really like it there & says everyone is very friendly, good coaches, & lots of financial aid which made it more affordable for his family. His parents are happy with his choice.

great, thanks guys. I realized after talking to people that though the stats for greek are large, it kinda of dillutes that styerotype...because EVERY one is in it...if u get what i mean...but i think first hand experience will really decide that, and i wont get that until september! I loved the coaches and team, and i have stayed in contact with them since Ive left the visit, im so excited, I want to go back so bad!

It looks like you have found your perfect college...congrats! I know from my son's experience that adding athletics into the college search is just one more piece of the puzzle that has to fit. It sounds like you have found your match. It's wonderful that you're so excited about your new life next fall. Best of luck to you!
