I think I just torpedoed my GPA...

So I decided to take two community college courses this summer (Macroeconomics and Microeconomics) as a last ditch effort to raise my weighted UC GPA...and it didn't go very well. :( Odds are I'll either get Bs in both classes or one B and one A. My weighted UC GPA will either be a 4.03-4.08 instead of the 4.13 that I'd been aiming for. Although what is really worrying me is that because of this my unweighted UC GPA is probably going to drop from a 3.81 to a 3.75-3.79 instead of the 3.83 that I'd wanted.

I have fairly decent ECs with a few leadership positions and my SAT score is a 2080 (I plan on retaking for 2250+ hopefully)

Is there any chance of me being able to get into UC Berkeley, UCLA, or UCSD?

Okay, deep breath. We’ve all been there- I’ve taken a few courses with the intention of raising my GPA, and it backfired on me. I would say you have a decent chance at the schools you mentioned. Most counselors and internet sources I’ve asked have said that most colleges would rather see a B in an AP/above CP class than an A in an average class. It shows that the student reached and tried. Plus with your SAT scores, especially if you raise them as planned, and your leadership positions, you definitely have a shot. Good luck!
