and i'll have to tell my parents about it, if I really did lose it...

Do you know how much it costs to freeze assets and to get a replacement? Do I have to get a replacement card in person?

(I'd like to know as much as possible, since my parents are not particularly forgiving of chance occurrences and will blame just about anything on me for it - when I really haven't lost it before in the 2 years that I had it).

it doesn't cost anything to freeze an account, and they will usually send you another card for free. You're also no liable for fraudulent charges, but it's not exactly the same as a credit card. You need to meet certain deadlines/qualifications to not be liable and it may take a little while to get your money back (if anyone illegally used the card). If you report it lost soon you should be fine and you'll just get another card in the mail and move on.

I lost it because I left it in the ATM and they sent one in about 5 business days or so. So yeah its going to be annoying but least its going to be free.
