i think i made a mistake?!!!!

so one of my friends told me that you're only supposed to list your principle activities so I only listed like 3 of the ones most improtant to me and then i submitted the app yesterday.

but my activity resume is WAY longer than just 3 activities...actually it's 3 pages and i don't know if i can really shorten it down too much maybe 2 1/2 if i take out one or two activities.

should i just send it by mail to Harvard? should i call them or will that make me seem iiresponsible??

I think you should send them a resume but keep the number of pages down to two. Find out the name of your admissions rep and send it to them with a note saying that the app did not allow enough room to explain all your ec and that you are providing the resume.

Would this letter be too simple?

To whom it may concern,

The Common Application online did not allow for all my activities to be listed. Hence I have attached to this letter my activity resume. I am sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

sincerely,
name

I would take out “hence” (lol). Other than that, I think short and simple is fine.
I went to an info session for Wash U and they said just if you want to submit a resume, just list a few activities and then send a resume. Since Wash U is a great school, I think your schools will add your resume to your application as well.

I heard it was bad to send in any extra resumes, or at least not recommended. any one hear abotu this?

Having a really lengthy resume will probably end up showing lack of focus in ECs. But having only 3 activities will generally weaken an application, unless those are pretty great.

I would call admissions and ask them about this.
