I managed to waive my rights on the Common App for all my other schools. It’s just that the one I want to go to first (Georgetown University) has its application on their website and before you even start it, you get asked to waive your rights. I started my Georgetown application before we came back to school and wasn’t sure what I should do and didn’t waive them. Now all I’ve read is that people everywhere strongly suggest that you waive your right. How badly might this hurt my chances? Can I reverse this? I haven’t submitted my application if that helps.
If you haven’t submitted your application, then I would imagine it’s still possible-- and YES!!!- it’s strongly advised. Can you try logging out, then back into, the Common App? That might take you back to the beginning.
Ask your guidance counselor on Tuesday.
The only problem I see is that, since the application is already open, it may have been possible to view your LORs. That could mean that they “lock” in your choice to waive or not.
