I think I'm dead...

I was erasing stray marks on my ACT test after time was called because I didnt want to get counted off for that. The girl sitting next to me, after the test was over, said "I saw you changing answers and that's bad." She came out late so she might have told the proctor D: I don't know what to do. I guess I don't have a liable excuse because erasing stray marks may be just as bad...but the last proctor let a kid do that on my last ACT. If my scores were cancelled, when will I know? If they were, I'd have a register for another ACT. but the deadline to enroll may be gone by the time the scores are out >-> Needless to say, I feel like crap.

I think you’ll be fine. Relax, have a nice dinner, and get a good nights sleep.

If the Proctor didn’t mention anything at the time I’m not sure there’s much to worry about. If you didn’t get caught with an earpiece, hidden camera, or crib notes of some variety I doubt there’s much of a case anyone could make. Another student reporting something that couldn’t be confirmed and wouldn’t make much of a difference even if it happened.

If for some bizarre reason you’re asked just calmly and simply explain what you did, don’t get defensive, and I guarantee you’re not the only ‘stray mark’ OCD around the #2 pencil Test Culture. I’m glad I’m old enough I don’t have to take those things anymore – I used to have nightmares of looking down and seeing a form with ink all over the page.

I don’t think they have a right to get rid of your scores unless they confront you first.
Just call and complain.

Really? Thank you thank you so much. When the girl talked to me, I responded, “Oh I was…” and she just walked away. I was majorly freaking out to the point of tears >-> I would gladly take a retest, although I really don’t want to. I’m a senior and of of my college deadlines are soon, so I may not have time to have scores in by then, but I heard they may extend the deadline for scores. And my parents…gaahh, I’ll have to face them.

You will be fine. They would have to confront you. I am certain of it. They know that sometimes kids bad mouth other kids out of nervousness or viciousness so they won’t just take another kid’s word for it that there was misbehavior on the test. Relax.

Chillz  I think you’re just overblowing the sit…

The worst case scenario: Girl actually told proctor, proctor said 1)Meh 2)I’ll see (and forget) 3) One person isnt evidence enough… cause that way I can get anyone’s scores canceled by just complaining

Which isnt that bad is it?

Btw, truth is always a defence. You werent really changing anything.
