I think I'm going to fail an AP Course. HELP

So I'm taking AP Computer Science right now as a junior and it counts for my science credit, and I am taking physics next year. First semester was fairly straightforward, but I struggled with tests (my test average was 65) and quizzes (my quiz average was 57). A 100 average on homework and labs combined with an A on the final exam brought my grade to an 85.

But now we are dealing with inheritance, arrays, and interfaces. I am completely lost, and my teacher has provided little help, assuming our class of 30 knows EVERYTHING just because 5 or 6 seniors already know everything about java and have 100s.

How can I take my current little knowledge of Java to survive these next 2 months of the course in order to get a B? I'm struggling the most with free response questions; I have no idea how to write the programs in the way they want you to.

I appreciate any help thanks.

Java tutorials are your friend.

ask the seniors for help? if they have 100s they can get you 100s… lol

^Lol, I would but they can’t explain things well to beginners. They are fully fluent in java, python, html, css, c++, etc and do not talk to anyone, they haven’t said 5 words all year. 2 of them are going to MIT, 1 is going to Cal Tech, and 2 are going to Stanford lol.

Just go up to them. One of them is bound to be a better teacher than the rest.
Have you actually gone up to your teacher and said “Listen, I am completely lost, and I need your help”

I tried talking to them today but they literally WILL NOT help. They said go ask the teacher, who hardly knows the material himself; this is his first year teaching the course.

I am currently at an 80% with a test tomorrow. I’ve been prepping a ton by doing questions out of Barron’s and reviewing free responses we’ve done in the past but I’m still nervous. Oh goodness…
