I think it is funny

that people think it is soo much harder to get into SFS than the other Georgetown schools
according tho their website:

College SFS Business NHS Total

Applied 9,746 3,124 2,474 827 16,171
Accepted 1,917 616 578 194 3,305
Acceptance Rate .20 .20 .23 .22 .20
Percentile Rank 95.5 96.5 94.1 94.3 94.5
SAT- Reading 680-760 700-770 640-730 650-740 680-760
SAT- Math 670-760 680-760 670-770 660-740 670-760

the SAT scores are only 10 points higher for SFS compared to the college. SO i would hardly call that a much harder place to get into....the acceptance rates were the same too....granted this was data from 2007 but still...it probably hasn't changed that much.

sorry....im just kinda sick of people asking if they should apply to the college then transfer to SFS

People base "hard to get into" on more than just SAT scores. I agree that it's a misconception that it's a lot more difficult to get into SFS than the other schools, but the self-selectivity is undeniable and it can make things a bit more challenging if you don't demonstrate as much interest in IR. Do you have a better chance in getting into the College than SFS? Probably not. But people rely on more than numbers alone to form their thinking on this topic.
