I think my ADMISSION @ UCSD will be RECLINED HELP ME PLEASE :(

Hi. I have a question...

I'll keep it short and provide cliffs:

-accepted to UCSD econ major
-conditions: complete 1 uc transferrable math course by spring 2012
-I failed my math course, so I have to take it during summer 2012.

Will my admission get rejected by UCSD now that I pretty much dun goof'd?

The sad thing is, the math course is a precalculus class.

My friend told me to do this:
1) SIR
2) towards end of sending transcript, tell them i'll take during summer 2012 after they figure out how many students will be transferring
3) UCSD will most likely allow me to take the math course there.

I know this is dishonest but not sure, just what my friend told me to do.

Thanks!

Do not take your friends advice. Let them know now. The sooner you let them know the greater the chance of them working with you to solve the problem.

1st of all, dont take any more school advice from your friend. UCs do not like getting information at the last minute. If you do SIR, and u end up getting rescinded, u lose admissions + money for siring. etc etc.
2nd. Notify Admissions asap about this situation
3rd. From my experience, if you don’t complete the contract requirements (specifically stated on the SIR) ur admission will be rescinded 99%.

You should send then a notice of changes…that’s what I did since I dropped my math class this semester as well.

Sent from my SPH-D700 using CC

Thanks…

Thanks for the advice. But really? So you think my admission will be rescinded 99%?

@shrtcakez ;( Is it too late?

=====

I’m going to call tomorrow morning!

@smcpaul contractual requirements aren’t guidelines, you have to follow it to complete your admission. Always worth trying to see whether or not your in. Lemme know how it turns out. Hopefully I’ll see you at UCSD. Good Luck

^^ I know man T_T

I don’t know what to do!!!

You’re going to be rescinded. It’s a minimum requirement for UC admission, there is no way around that.

Sometimes I like to recline my seat, so when I drive.I look hard…

In all seriousness, CALL! I was told by UCSD that I can take summer classes and they can be transfered, they just wouldn’t count towards my application. Again this could be different because of your specific position.

I guess your friends want to keep you around with them, because if you follow their advice you’re highly likely to be rescinded. UCSD has no problem telling people they are rescinded if they only find out about a missed class late in the game.

Your only hope is to get in touch with UCSD now and see if they’ll let you take the class this summer. Without the class completed you are not eligible for admission, and if you’re not eligible they’re not going to admit you. Regardless of what your friends tell you.

I hope things work out for you; post and let us know what happens.

I don’t get it…you get into Econ major but you are still in pre-cal class? Econ isn’t suppose to take Calculus before transfer?

How will your admissions be reclined? I wasn’t aware your admission status could be that lazy and sit on a chair all day.
