i think my course load is too heavy.

i am a bio sci major. i think 17 units is too much. what do you suggest?
here is my schedule for the fall quarter:

BIO SCI 93
MATH 2B
CHEM 1A
ANTHRO 2B
BIO 2A

Your not taking Writing?

I suggest you try it out, and drop if you need to…

If you think you can handle it, then leave it. Otherwise, you could drop anthro and take it another quarter.

writing 39B was all full

If you think it is too much drop Anthro, or Math. First quarter is a transition, don’t kill yourself.

I think 17 units as a first year is quite a load. If I were counseling you, I would suggest to follow the track they have laid out. I would suggest to take Math 2B in the Winter when you are more acclimated to the campus, classes and to science classes.

easily done.

i had math 2d, chem h2a + h2LA, bme 1, physics 7a + la: 18 units.

17 is doable, but if yo uwant to concentrate on socializing and getting used to college, drop anthro.

Drop anthro. You will get alot of problems to solve from chem and math and reading from bio

I am going to be a second year bio major and my first year i took bio 93 chem 1a and writing 39C and that ended up to be a good course load. I know right now it seems like you dont have to go to class that often since you are used to high school where you had class every day, but it ends up to be more work than you think. Also, a lot of the work is reading and stuff that nobody will ever check if you did, so you have to stay organized and on top of your studying. If you think you can handle it and everything else your freshman year then go ahead, but I would drop anthro since you will have plenty of time to take that later on.
