So I log into my Naviance and I see that my gpa has dropped 5 points. (From a 4.1 to a 4.05…) I don’t get this because I’ve finished my sophomore year with straight As including in 1 ap and mostly the rest honors. Can someone calculate my gpa for me?

Are you sure all these classes count towards GPA?
I don’t understand what you mean by “(weighted 0.5)”. Was this an honors class that is worth a half point more towards your GPA?
Do you know whether they count orchestra in your GPA? Some schools don’t. Are the listed classes all one semester long? If so, how come you only have 18 classes in four semesters? Are these classes all equal in terms of the number of credits per class?
It won’t matter how your high school computes GPA, because universities will look at your grades. High schools are so inconsistent in terms of how they compute GPA that it becomes almost a meaningless number. Your school is very generous compared to where we live.
Talk to your guidance counselor. I’m also wondering if they are only counting core courses in your GPA.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Closing thread.
For future reference, your GPA did not drop by 5 points; it dropped by 5 basis points. Huge difference.
Regardless. as noted above, you need to speak to your GC; none of us know how your school calculates a cumulative GPA.
