A few days before my interview, a man called me (he works with my interviewer) saying that my interviewer is sick and is going into major surgery Monday, and that my Wednesday interview will be postponed. He sounded pretty serious
Well
I've emailed him (my interviewer) and whatnot, asking how he was doing, rescheduling... but no response...

this was for an interview something like 12thish of february...

I had looked him up and he is very elderly
but?
what should I do?

Pray for him and stop worrying about your interview. It is usually for informative purposes only and has virtually no weight on the admissions process. Perhaps you should inform your Duke admissions officer, but other than that don't worry about it. I would be more worried about the guy's health because it is somewhat depressing and surgery is very serious.

no ya I am definitely not pressing for an interview followup soon! it was more to ask him how he was doing. I did email the guy that called though about how he was doing and about rescheduling (he had told me to when he called).

I just never realized the severity of what he was going through until he just sort of... did not respond back!

and getting an interview... well I wouldnt be the best interviewee.
