Our school sends out midyear reports on Feb 15th, so I assume they get to colleges by Feb 22nd. However, there were some problems with my transcript (a messed up schedule among other things), so changes were made on my midyear report and it will probably be sent 1-2 weeks after that, and arrive early March. I'm not sure when they start decisions, but would this cause problems?

they want the report if possible by feb 1. i think if it arrives in early march it will be too late for them to consider in their evaluation of your app. talk to your counselor to get is out as soon as possible.

Feb 1? Yikes. . .

What if your semester grades aren't available by then? I thought it had to be out by mid-February. Eeeks!!!

i wouldn't worry about this,
apparently my school gets them out late LATE february every year (gigantic magnet school) and it's never been a problem.

I thought it was mid february also.

Mine will be sent out maybe on Friday.

haha we finished our semester at the end of December and my grades weren't even available until the end of last week.

I thought most schools said Feb 15?

what if ur school operates on trimester scheduling?

we dont get grades until mid march..
so how does the school handle that?

Are our mid-year reports very important?

I think Princeton wants to see that you haven't just been slacking off senior year. I think they understand that senior year is really stressful with applications and all of the activities we do and stuff, so I'm sure you won't be discredited by a B or even maybe a high C, but they want to see that you've been keeping up your high grades throughout your fall semester senior year and they want to see if your class rank has changed (I went up one spot wooohoooo ;)). Anyway, I think it's important, but it's definitely not the most important part of your application.
