I think someone I know lied about their acceptance

you should mess with her. it'll be fun

of course it was necessary to post a venting session here! if only for our entertainment hehe.

think of it this way, you guys have been accepted to a school that people actually take the time to lie about getting into. like stanford ;)

so . . . ?

haah, no i'm not that mean. i know that inside herself, she's knows the truth..and if she is telling the truth (which i doubt) then i won't end up feeling bad for being a female dog to her..i'm sure the other people who she told will do something, and i will admit, i probably will laugh at whatever comes her way..
and laserbase, i have known this girl since 7th grade and have actually always been annoyed by her. so a full day with her is out of question. and thanks for your offer but i'll prob go with someone I know lol. but maybe i'll say hi if i can figure out who u are when i'm there haha

well hell , i met a third year transfer here who got in for second [semester] . . .

Congrats on getting in at least hahah :)

shes not telling the truth. you can't get in without SATs. Someone i knew said he got 2400 on the SAT without taking the writing section because he "chose not to."

unless of course, she really did get in but is just making all this bs up to make others feel bad, but that logic doesn't make sense

congrats on getting in. i agree w/ hopefullybright and fireemblem :D it'll be fun to mess with her

Actually, you can gain admission by exception.

University of California - Admissions

But yeah, lying.

Wow...her "stories" are just...wow....

ahahahahaha wat a load of rubbish! does she really think she can get away w/ it..? -_-

Eh true, but the way she said it "california schools dont need SAT" or something or other is about 99% false

I don't know if anyone else said this already, but....

Who....Cares?

She's going to be like that one Korean girl who lied to her parents about getting accepted and attending Stanford.

TRUE STORY: Korean girl got rejected from Stanford. Lied to her parents that she got admitted. Convinced several of the girls at Stanford to let her sleep in the dorms at night. "Attended" Stanford by hiding from her parents there.

Funny people these days.

JAW DROP

***? So how did they find out?

HAHA not sure, but you can't use Stanford's dorms as hotels forever. But she lasted a year or so doing that... Pretty crazy for the Stanford girls to let her in too...for all they know, she could have been some psychotic axe murderer.

Wow....that'll be good for ya' future. Go sleep in the dorms at a school you didn't enroll in. Nice education >__<

Anyway, what a ridiculous story. It's incredible the ignorance that gets spewed around sometimes without scrutiny.

...Still, Kim had neither a Stanford ID nor a key, forcing her to sneak into meals and enter her room through its window, which overlooked the Munger construction pit, the Wilbur parking lot and a dumpster, three feet off the ground. Zhou never noticed, as she spent nearly all her nights in her boyfriend’s room.

“She took off the screen and always left one of the windows wide open and the blinds up,” Zhou said. “I just guessed she always wanted a breezy room.”

To avoid suspicion while in Okada, Kim pretended to be a sophomore majoring in human biology, going as far as to buy textbooks and study with friends for tests she would never take. Residents of the 94-person dorm were none the wiser.

“She really knew her stuff, and really knew the schedule,” Zhou said. “For HumBio, she would say, ‘I have a midterm Monday in this room,’ and I knew that was true because my friends are HumBio [students].”

Last Sunday, Okada RA Soo Kim ‘08 triggered the beginning of the end at the weekly staff meeting. An Otero RA told her that Azia Kim had claimed to live in Otero. Soo Kim was suspicious and emailed Housing on Monday. Only then — eight months after Azia Kim first moved into Kimball — did the authorities finally realize what had happened.
