I think this US college has rejected me?!

I am an international student and i sent my docs last month and it reached lindenwood university by 27th May. They needed they housing app so i sent that as well and it reached st Charles MO by 19th June.
But they haven't responded regarding the housing app, the admissions officer says they haven't received it yet when the UPS officer says it has reached the university
it till now.
She said the arin officer doesn't work in their mail room. And she said she ll let me know but never informs on her own.

I asked them on 25th June about when would i get a reply about admission granted or denied and she said within a week as the director has my file, but i haven't received a reply till now.And when i asked again that when i can expect a reply regarding admission, first she said within a week and the second time didn't reply
I am really worried. my future and goals depend on it.
How to ease the tension and how long do they take?
Is everything okay here or something fishy?
And if they dont accept you do they reply soon?

please please reply

Good grief!!! Call the ADMISSIONS OFFICE of the school, and specifically ask for the ADMISSIONS DIRECTOR!! Find out if you were admitted and where the paperwork is. If they won’t talk to you, have your parents DEMAND an answer! We cannot do this for you!

I want to add something. You asked if this sounded “fishy.” Well, in all honesty it does, and I hate to say this. Which is why you may need to have your parents involved.

If the school is this unresponsive, are you SURE this is a place you should even be attending? Maybe this behavior from them is a sign you should NOT go there, if they are this unprofessional.

I asked the admissions officer and she first said that i can hear a reply in a week as the director has my file on his desk but i didnt hear any reply. Then i asked again, yesterday and she did not reply.
I feel so odd. If i repeatedly ask them, they ll get irritated. If i get my parents involved, my chances of being admitted will be in jeopardy.
But yes its true that they are unresponsive. Even if they dont receive papers, they wont inform on their own, only i have to ask.

I’m confused: they asked you to send in the HOUSING application before they told you whether or not you’ve been admitted? That does NOT sound right, usually you deal with housing AFTER getting in.

I would call again. INSIST (politely) to speak to the admissions DIRECTOR. If it turns out the Director can’t/won’t speak to you, explain the situation: you have been waiting for over a month to hear if you’ve been admitted. Now it’s July and you need to make plans for the fall. Be insistent - polite, friendly and understanding - but tell them firmly the school has put you in a difficult situation that you need resolved quickly.

Good luck!

Yes katlia, they asked me to send the housing application before being admitted but asked me to send the housing deposit after i receive my visa. The admissions and enrollment officer didnt reply about when i asked about when i would hear about admissions yesterday.
On 25th June she said the director has my file so i can expect a reply in a week but again no reply.
So i asked a question to the adviser

If on the 25th they told you a week, that makes July 1st a week. Except the week of the 1st is a week many people take a small vacation because July 4th is a national holiday. We don’t have many of those in America, lol, so people like to take advantage. I advise to contact the office again on Friday, July 6. By then he might be back in the office, or may have communicated his decision to the staff. This must be frustrating, but hang in there just a few more days!

thanks katlia!
This means a lot to me!

Last week i asked her again and she said that she knows that the associate director has my file for some time so i can expect a decision in a week’s time.
On asking the advisor on their admissions website she replied that the delay maybe due to missing application.
I have sent the documents once again and it will reach saint louis today.
International students have to arrive on campus by August 20
But today when i tried logging in to the online application site to view my application, i was denied saying invalid authorization credentials repeatedly. Does this mean they have removed my application which i filled online?

Plzzzzzzzz reply

bubbles: I’m sorry for your predicament but you’re asking the wrong people, at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Look at post #3.
