I this a legitimate statement?

<p>I am applying to several Ivy League schools as a transfer. I received a ton of IB and AP credit at the U of MN, and much of this credit is not recognized by Ivies or similarly ranked schools. Thus, I want to point out to colleges that even though I'm applying as a transfer, I realize that I may need more than 3 years to complete my major, etc. Is the following a legitimate way to point this out?</p>

<p>"As an incoming freshman at the University of Minnesota, I was awarded 38 credits for my performance on IB and AP tests. I understand that Brown does not grant credit for a portion of these exams. However, these credits influenced the classes I chose during my first semester at Minnesota (I wanted to fulfill liberal education requirements so I could move forward with classes that counted toward my major in future semesters). Thus, regardless of whether these liberal education classes transfer or not, I understand that I may need more than 3 years to complete my concentration at Brown. In order to allow myself the opportunity to explore other interests through the open curriculum, I understand that I will likely need more than 3 years at Brown to pursue my goals. I have accounted for this in future personal and financial planning. More than anything, I hope that my GPA and performance in college level courses indicates my ability to succeed in a novel living situation and take advantage of new opportunities, even if they don't earn credit towards a concentration."</p>
