It's official. It's impossible to ace Ravetch's exam. If I can't do it, nobody can.

Is this 1B?

120a . . .. . .
weird.. this is in response to altema's post yet it's posted before his..

Wow, that's so weird. I was shocked when I saw your post before mine, haha.

Ouch. I've heard bad things about the 120A class. I'll completely be able to avoid Ravetch for the rest of my accounting career. I like the teacher, but my focus is GPA boosting, not learning/GPA wrecking :(.

The crazy thing is.. I'm actually thinking of taking 120B with him during Spring.

I dunno what I am thinking....

It looks good if a recruiter asks about it, lol. Too bad my friend got interviews with all big 4 firms and only one asked if he took Ravetch :(.

I'm taking 120B next quarter because a lot of classes require 120B as a pre-req. I can't wait and take it in the Spring with Ravetch or Litt becuase of timing issues. I think I would have to stay an extra two semesters or a whole year if I were to wait for the Spring.

I am taking his 1B in winter....
Is he really that hard?

1B is hard, but doable. I would have had close to an A if not for his final. He put one problem worth 20% of the grade that I left blank. I must have aced the rest of the test because if I didn't, I should have gotten a solid C in the class.

Somehow, in my 1B class (I'm taking it with Ravetch right now), there is always someone who gets a ridiculously high score, like 98/100. o_O

In Soviet Russia...

That seems possible. I mean his tests are hard, but a lot of his test builds upon itself, so if you get part A wrong, you get part B-D wrong. There will always be those types of people in every class. Now if 15% of the class is scoring 98/100, be worried!

There is no such thing as "pwning a Ravetch final."

Although a friend of mine got an A in 1B with Ravetch, and he never even did the homework problems.
