I walked out of APUSH last year thinking I got a 3.

I ended up getting a 3!!! :D

I walked out of APUSH last year thinking I got a 3.

I ended up getting a 3!!! :D

^ Truly inspirational!

On apush last year I guessed on ALL of the mc questions… I was confident about 10 lol… was expecting a 1 but got a 4 instead! I never even took the class either!

Drew a hand turkey and wrote the mean value theorem down for basically every FRQ on the Calc AB test last year. Got a 3. Further more I was the only junior in the class that passed the test. Did not know calc

I had a seriously awful teacher for AP Chem. Nice lady, but she was nearly impossible to understand and those of us who took the exam basically had to teach ourselves. I walked out of the exam room last year feeling really mad because I thought I’d totally blown it… but got a 5.

I’m praying that’s what’s going to happen on Calc BC and both Physics C exams this year >_<

Self-studied AP Psychology last year.

I finished reading the Barron’s book at about 1:40ish AM, and then proceeded to do an online SparkNotes practice test (god knows why I didn’t just save my eyes by the dryness by doing Barron’s tests).
Got a 2. Went to sleep right after, having been wiped out.

Took the test, guessed on a lot of the multiple choice, wrecked the FRQs.

Got a 4. Wish I got a 5, but considering all I got out from that AP test is Sigmund Freud’s weird theories, perhaps a 4 isn’t so bad.

Gotta love Freud - 90% of his Oedipus complex is him being like “It’s not just me guys, right?” 90% of all subsequent psychoanalysis proves that is was just Freud who wanted to get with his mother.

LOL @ Freud

Yeah I honestly avoided my mom for a bit after AP Psychology…

I also forgot to mention the placebo effect. Brian used “placebo” pills on an episode of Family Guy and I was like “thanks psych”.

But yeah, good times

For APUSH last year, i had a teacher that was his first year teaching AP. He gave us 1 DBQ in the beginning of the year and another one in the end of the year…but it wasn’t even timed! I was ready to get a 2, like the majority of the classes. But when i read the Crash Course, i felt better. The MC was meh, and on 2 out of the 3 essays i made severe mistakes haha. I would have been happy with a 3. Turns out i got a 4.
My DBQ sucked and made false assumptions, and the other two were OK.
Still don’t know how that happened…

I took AP Physics B last year. My teacher was a first year AP Physics B and even first year teacher at my school for that matter. He switched from mechanical engineering career to a teaching career. I was totally not prepared in the class. I got a few pointers down but during second semester, I did not understand most of the material after mechanics. I used the Princeton Review for AP Physics B and it gave me confidence on my abilities. I learned most of what I know in physics from that book. I went into the exam, and coming out of the exam, I thought it was terrible! I got to question 55 out of 70 when the proctor said time was up. I had to guess on the remaining 15 questions. Mind you, I also left 2 FRQs blank. I surely thought I got a 2 or 3 but it turns out I got a 4! I think the AP Physics B exam has a high curve, though

I’m sure most, if not all, of these stories are true. But there’s probably just as many people (or more) who’ve gotten worse scores than they expected. :P

Still, I really hope I get to join the I-thought-I-failed-but-I-actually-got-a-5! club. x) And not the I-really-failed club.

In retrospect I should have failed. Haha.

My school APUSH as a sophomore class, at that point in my life I was literally the slowest essay writer ever. Anywho on the test. I did pretty well on the DBQ and did and okay job one of the TBQs. Then the proctor announced 10 minutes. In 10 minutes. I read and chose my second TBQ, wrote a thesis, and did a point by point outline… Later I told my teacher this and he looked disappointed, but wasn’t trying to show it. I later learned that bullet points generally wont get higher then 2’s. GOT A 4!
