I transfered to a new highschool

Hi, i recently transferred to a new highschool. Well, i sent them my old highschool transcript.
I know i have to send my new highschool transcript when i apply to college, but i dont know if i have to send my old school transcript as well.

You do not send transcript, it is your school´s responsibility to send in your official transcript. The tricky part when you move to a high school is how do they map your old transcript to your new school´s scale.

My younger daughter moved her junior year. It took her new school 3 months to move her old transcript to new. The new school weighted grades, which her old school didn´t. I had to work with her counselor to make sure our daughter got credit for all her honors courses. When she applied to a summer program this winter, her new school sent in one transcript, which also included her old school´s grades.

I would encourage you to sit down with your GC to go over your new transcript to make sure you are in agreement.

That’s assuming your high school is even willing to map your old school’s courses to theirs. My school refused to because it was against policy, so they just sent transcripts from both schools.

It´s more for GPA calculation, even if a school doesn´t rank, they will need to be able to check off if you are top 5%, 10%…
