Ya. I know your post is uninformative ^^^^ @chelsie

How are the prospects for a history major for internship? Do they have good programs for that major at ucla?

What was the hardest part in transition from Community college to UCLA. Workload? New city? New home? New or Old Friends/Relationships?
What is something you’d want new transfers to do that you did not do?

What’s the meaning of life, the universe, and everything?

Also, would it be feasible to find a solo one bedroom or studio apartment off but near campus under $1000/month?

^ There are bachelor apartments (no kitchen) or studios for under 1000 quite often. A full one bedroom is rare.

Hello
So I really want to transfer into UCLA and I’m deciding to go through the community college route.
- Is it possible for me to transfer to UCLA with a year of community college? I just need credits that make me eligible to transfer…I don’t want to obtain an associate degree or antyhing.
- Are test scores and high school transcripts important?

@chelsiemorning Cheers, thanks.

@FunkyMonkey332 Speaking from a current transfer student, unless you have something really special going for you, a one year transfer is probably very unlikely. Your intended major will weigh heavily in how unlikely that is as some require more pre-reqs. Even stellar 2 year CCers get turned down cause they haven’t completed transfer pre-reqs. That said, my real advice is this: don’t listen to me. Hear the word “unlikely” and want to prove me wrong. I just don’t see many drawbacks to giving it your best shot. The more you can show these schools that you want it, the more you will stand out as a great applicant - if not in the first year, then definitely in the second.

Hey iZychr,
I am an international freshman and unfortunately wasn’t able to make it to UCLA this year. I will be pursuing the same major as you, in Economics or management. My ultimate aim of education in US is studying in UCLA or UC Berkeley. They are more than a dream college for me. So the only option I am left with is to transfer. I would just like to have some information regarding how tough is it to transfer to UCLA or UCB?

I already got into Boston, Purdue, Ohio State Columbus, Penn State University Park, Bryant, Bentley, Syracuse and Northeastern. Can you provide me with a little insight regarding which university amongst these will help me to most easily enter into UCLA? I will be looking forward towards a transfer in the Sophomore year.
