And I liked it very much! I really wish that I could have gotten a tour from a student, though, but everyone seemed so busy and all....i would have liked to see the dorms n stuff.

Seems like a nice place, though. I might apply there early decision (january deadline)!

It's too bad that you weren't able to get a tour. The dorms vary somewhat but are generally typical college dorms: mostly standard doubles for freshmen, with a few triples and quads, varying in size from kinda cramped to quite large. They're nothing to write home about, but certainly all in good liveable condition (and the hall life is great). Good luck with your application!

I really recommend an overnight visit if you want to see the dorms and really get the feel of Swarthmore- I had one and it was great. Very much fun, even though I visited at a weird time right before midterms, so everyone was also uber busy.

Definitely try to get an overnight! They tell you a lot about the school, and you get to see how students live.

As was said, the dorms are okay. Most of them aren't spectacular, but hall life is really fantastic, so it cancels out any negatives to rooming arrangements (I have no complaints - I was paired perfectly with my roommate and my I love my room).

Good luck applying ED if that's what you end up doing!
