I visited the NYU campus area yesterday

Walked the area and in to Greenwich village. I got a chance to go into the Rubin Lobby. WOW. Whatta vibrant place the neighborhood is. You guys are in for a amazing experience. There was multi-block street fair with lots of vendors and food. tons of people out in Union and Washington Square (and Central park)

You are so jaded! I've been living in NYC for 4 years and I still enjoy going down to the village. Sueinphilly.....you are right. NYC is the greatest city in the world and the village area is amazing.

I have some pictures.

best thing to do while the weather is good is to take your shoes off and walk around the fountain in wsp or just take in some rays. also, mcdougal is a fun walk if your ever bored (sw corner of wsp if your facing north).

Personally, I like visiting random neighborhoods, especially the upper west side, and just walking around.

It's far more engrossing than the same old Village scene day in, day out.
