Could someone make some kind of guide on the differing usages of I and me? Thanks in advance.

in SAT test, there are two primary and classic mistakes:
(1) after preposition
(2) after verb
but the tough part is you have to recognize them, since the sentence is overwhelmingly complicated.

“I” serves as a subject. “Me” serves as an object.

Examples:

Joanne and I are going to the store.

Joanne is going to the store with me.

He is going to kill Joanne and me.

The championship was won by Joanne and me.

There is a very simple rule …
Consider this sentence ‘‘Joanne and I are going to the store.’’
If you are having doubts, just imaginary delete ‘‘Joanne and’’ .Which sounds better ?I am going to the store ,or ,me is going to the store ?

‘‘He is going to kill Joanne and me’’
Which sounds better ?He is going to kill me ,or , he is going to kill I ?

^That’s the method I use, and it’s worked in almost every instance.
