And my position is number 4, good chances or bad?

Great chances, especially since Che classes are huge. I think you’re in.

dmission, I’m actually enrolled in chem wkld righ tnow cause I failed that stupid chem test. I studied on my own and am retaking it after move-in… by that time, do you think I would have a chance of adding chem2A onto my schedule?
Thanks!

Okay good, I sure hope so!

hermanliu320: yes, it is really a huge class.

how about position 8??. I noticed that over time more and more chem 2a classes keep getting added. Should I just hold tight on my waitlist or keep checking to go into an empty slot on the new classes.

I moved up to position 2 over night =]

I don’t think you need to worry about being wait listed … many people will drop during the next few weeks.

okay well hopefully i get it. my spot moved from #8 to #6 overnight so if that trend continues i’ll get it sooner or later =P

Yeah I am now registered in the class

i waitlisted for a Chem2A class “CLOSED - 00” meaning im first on the waitlist. but i saw some that were “OPEN - 09 waitlisted” should i have waitlisted for the OPEN chem class?! D:

i’m so confused. when you waitlisted for the Chem class, was it OPEN or CLOSED?

at #4 waitlisting for Chem2a. Has anyone found it less likely for people to drop classes before Winter quarter versus Fall quarter? I’ve been at 4 for a couple days now, but I’m hoping it all works out! :)

Depends on what professors you have. I had Enderle for my first quarter at Davis – let’s just say there were two spots open in my lab section, and six people vying for those two seats. :] So generally speaking, yes, you should be able to get in? People are constantly adjusting and readjusting their schedules.

CLOSED means, I believe, that there hasn’t been any activity in that section (meaning no one has added/dropped).

People drop classes all the time.

Worst comes to worst, you -can- go and just try to crash a lab section. I did that winter quarter when I accidentally dropped my chem 2b class. It’s not fun, but there WILL be lab sections open as some people will not show up (especially for the undesirable lab times @ like, 7:00 PM).
