ACT could be higher. GPA is low, but class rank and W GPA account for that What are your SAT II scores? Where are your ECs? Where are your awards? If that’s all you have (and I seriously doubt it is), then

USC: Reach
NYU: Low Reach
Northwestern: Big Reach

Your GPA is pretty solid, but not overly impressive. Same with your scores. If you have some really amazing ECs and recommendations/essays, I would say USC is a medium reach. Good luck and fight on!

Yeah I’ve been a part of a lot of ECs and have been officers in most of them, yeah and I’ve asked for recs from teachers that know me, and know how to write. Thanks again guys.

Your GPA is pretty close to USC’s average (slightly low) and you not being in the top 10% of your class also hurts a little. USC is really big on people who have good ECs–especially with leadership in them, though–and your W GPA is good. These could both help you overcome the GPA and class rank.

You’ll need about a 1900+ SAT I score (probably even slightly higher, like close to the USC average–which is 1950 or so.)
