I wanna double major in polisci&econ

Within the poli.sci, I wanna focus on International Relations
And what I'm really trying to get out of this major is to study the globalization of international trade.

What do you think?
Is it too much?
Are the classes impacted?
Has anyone done this?
Pros & Cons of each major?
Pros & Cons of double majoring?
If I double major, would I have to write two theses papers? Or since these two majors intertwine each other, can I just write one that will be good for both?
Has anyone done the EAP (educational abroad program) how was it, was it expensive?

I'm trying to save 10 grand before I transfer. I know I can save up the max of 15 grand. Will that be enough?

Thanks!
Oh ya I'm a transfer student.

anyone? :(

Best advice is to come in fall and take two of each classes or so. I came into ucsb as a freshman as a ps major and then took the econ courses required. Fell in love with it and wanted to double major but honestly some of the TAs in the ps department are dicks. Reading for ps is unbearable (although I’m fine with reading ~200 pages/wk, reading for ps classes sucks). Econ the department doesn’t allow over 6% of students to get an A, and limits 12% to B, while half gets a C through a curve. Its do-able to double major in these two of course, and I wanted to but realistically its not worth it unless you seriously have a passion for both (I love econ, but just enjoy ps - so its not worth it for me). The classes are fun, really but its up to you. I’m doing Econ & Acct and I’ll get enough politics to satisfy me as a CPA, so good luck to you. Any specific questions you can e-mail me
