Thanks!

1480 out of 1600 or out of 2400? What’s your unweighted GPA? How sure are you about your intended major?

I want to get in California!

Exactly what turns you off about California? State going bankrupt? Mudslides? Earthquakes? Forest fires? Too many illegal aliens? Too many pretentious people? Too many tree-huggers? Too many neo-hippies? Too many drugs? Too many cults? Too many motorcycle gangs? To many youth gangs? Too many BMWs? Summers in San Francisco too cold?

How much can you spend per year?

I wanted out of CA for college too. I love the state but it’s dramatically different than the rest of the Country, and if you can, it’s great to experience new places.

I want to get into California too, I’m so jealous!!

Here, let’s trade. I’ll go to the U of San Francisco, you can go to U of Tennessee.

I’d kill for some californication.

someone’s never heard of the central valley, the inland empire, or most of san diego county

I lived several years in California. Nice place, but not without its flaws.

out of 2400 sat uw gpa is 3.1 and im sure about kinesology/athletic training. THERE ARE NO SEASONS in nor cal where im at its 100 degrees. but ye id just like a 4-6 year break from california. lol shmaltz why so negative?

bump bump bump

Check out the Western Undergraduate Exchange. As a California resident, you can attend any of a list of western public colleges at 150% of the in-state tuition rate. In some cases that would be equal to or less than the cost of a UC or CSU.

[WICHE - Student Exchange Programs](http://wue.wiche.edu/)

“THERE ARE NO SEASONS in nor cal where im at its 100 degrees.”

C’mon! That’s in exaggeration. Also, there are good options in California that will feel VERY different from Solano county. Financially, the publics are a good deal. But yeah, the exchange idea is a good one, and Univ Colorado would be great if you like skiing/boarding. Not sure the SAT will work.

And you might want to leave off the name of a city that only has two public high schools ( three or four if you include the charter or VCS).

actually i live in south vacaville and i go to Vanden high

where can i go thatll feel different

Different from Vacaville? Different from Vanden? Anyplace in So. Cal for starters, but I think even CSU Humbolt or Monterrey would feel different.

Is you family military? Have you lived anywhere else?

no i have lived in vacaville my whole life. no military. i liked michigan when i visited family and have already applied to MSU

Good luck!

i love california. i wish i could go to college there, but it’s too far away ( i live in massachusetts). they have some of the best schools in the country and such a good range to choose from. i’d reconsider if i were you.

I mean University of Virginia will be about as far as you can go. We are the #2 public school in the nation (behind Cal) while also #24 nationally. We have D-I athletics (ACC conference) with a great party scene as well.
