I wanna go to fordham but i got a D in my class!!

<p>Hi, i'm an average student who really REALLY wants to go to Fordham.
My gpa is 86.9 and sat is 2090.
i applied the regulardecision.
but the problem is i got a D in my ap stat class..
i dont know why but it was really hard for me. plus i got a bit lazy lol.
I always thought that i have a high chance of getting into fordham but now that i got
a D in one of the two quarters in the 1st semester, im worried that they might not accept me.
plz help me out!</p>

there r 2 quarters in one semester and got a D in 1st quarter. doing a little bit better in 2nd quarter now.</p>

<p>It’s really anybody’s guess on who’se going to get in or not. I would say if you have an amazing essay, great ec’s and recommendations you have a very good shot. My D’s gc has advised her to show them great interest as that is what they like. Visit if you haven’t between now and the beginning of March. Let them know of your strong interest, ask professors questions in your field of interest. Above all else keep working hard in stats and try and pull your grade up as much as possible.</p>

<p>I think they only see semester grades, correct? The transcript is normally just semesters. Get that grade up NOW and submit it ASAP. </p>

<p>Your SAT will help. </p>

<p>And of course, apply to several schools. </p>

<p>Sometimes one class wont burn you.</p>

<p>An 87 GPA may hurt your chances, but your SAT score is above Fordham’s average. If other parts of your application are solid and you express a strong interest, you’ll have a shot. Good luck!</p>

Agree with starybucksknicks- your stats are solid and know that Fordham places ALOT on SAT- and yours is above average. Good luck to you and I strongly bet you are good to go!</p>
