I wanna go to harvard one day.

Compare to your situation, the harvard seems less accessible for me now, which means I have to pay more efforts, since we are not on the same startline.

I think one thing among those things I should do to make Harvard chance more possible is to improve my English skill.

As the practise is the best way to study.

I decide to write down something which contains the new grammar and words I have learnt from the book each day.

As you are highly-educated and smart people,I think you will help me and correct my errors.

Harvard is an institution producing elites. And I wish I could make friends with some of them here.

And that's all for the begining, I need to have my breakfast now.

Um…okay…

Um…okay…

Um…okay…

Um…okay…

Um…okay…

Bahahahahahahaaaaa

If you wish to improve on your English to attend a top American college one day, asking strangers on a Harvard forum is not the correct place to do so. Frankly, you’ve just become the object of mockery.

^ like above comment.
I dont know, your user name, no. of posts and the whole post makes me feel like you are trying to fool everyone.
If not, well…

Reading magazines, good books would be far better that writing this way. Do extensive research on what colleges look for in students. And No international student got into harvard merely because of good english.

By the way, there are already some mistakes in your post. No practise in that case, its practice(Noun).

I need a platform where I can get response which isn’t vicious.

And here is the best place I’ve found so far, I get here throgh quora.

If you can give me some advices about where can I find a friendly ,high-quality and free bbs, it will be very nice of you.And I’ll be very grateful to you.

Facebook isn’t avialiable for me now according to my country’s policy and my current internet condition

I’ve read the details of the forum rules. It says that people in here should be courteous,so I’m not afraid about the abusive comments. This degree of mockery is acceptable for me.

And your sincerity makes you differ from those copy players above your floor.

By the way,My political identity is Chinese.

I’m reading magazines like <the economist="">.And books like <the prince=""> < the kite runner><oliver wtist="">.</oliver></the></the>

But I’m also study new words from "Merriam Webster’s vocabulary builder’ ,some words are not used so often in daily lifes like ambivalent.

So I think if I write down my own life expierences with those new words I’ve learnt,I could memorize them better.

But , people are always not so capable to find out their own mistakes.Others in most situation can see your weak point better than yourself.

That’s why I made such a post here.

Of course I know Harvard would not accept people with only good English skills.

I learn English not only to realize the Harvard dream, but also for my future career life.

Good English skills will help me to get a better salary here in China after ten months when I’m graduate from this university.

And a good English skill can help me to get more high-quality imformation. As the Internet-block is become more strict here in my country. It will be a good tool to help me improve myself.

Thank you for your correction.I never want to fool any one.

I made this name because I think the inteligence came from the self-questioning about our foolishment.

Best of luck from another international student. :)

Read a lot. Watch TV shows/movies in English without subtitles.
BTW, it’s foolishness not foolishment.

I would also recommend watching as many TV shows as possible in English. If you can sound natural when speaking, you will much better be able to tell when your writing is unnatural. Start with children’s shows (such as Blues Clues, Pokemon, etc.) and move on to more difficult ones (such as NCIS, History Channel things, etc.)

Good luck!

I like boston legal very much, all I need to do now is to meliorate my English.I wanna be as capable as those native English speakers who are highly-educated in the area of English. That’s my target.

The best suggestions:

 1. Watch BBC/CNN and other informative channels and definitely not POKEMON!
 2. Read better literature, the ones you listed are fine too.
 3. Rather than writing your journal on this thread, write one essay each day, and ask your teachers to check them. Write lots and lots of essays. At least one a day.
4. Your English is really terrible. I mean, grammar, use of word in context, to some extent, even your ideas as for example, .
 5. No one will find it interesting to correct all those grammars.

You are such a gentleman on internet.

And these suggestions are all good stuffs.

Essays? That’s a perfect idea, I’ve only tried write them with Chinese in the old time.

I happened to know a professor who is really good at basic physics and do have very good English skill, more important ,he is a nice person. I think he could be my tutor at this essay stuff.

You are right ,my English grammar is terrible, because I’ve ignored them for too long time and picked them up in recently days, I’ve spent 20$ to bought a original edition grammar book from British named <collins cobuild="" english="" grammar=""> but as I was lazy and it’s not easy to understand a grammar book quick and fast,I’ve only finished 8% of it,it’s really a shame.I know Harvard students are all very industry. I really will put more efforts on it.</collins>

I’ve give up my orginal idea about this thread, instead of that I will post the copy of my essays here.

Though I got no exact correction about my handwriting, but I’ve learned a lot from your remarks. That’s the attrative thing of the world, the variaty.

Thank you, thank you very much. You treated me like a human being. You must be a very good person.

See you.
