I did BC 10th grade, and so did a few other at my HS. A bunch of us then went up to a local university and took courses there like Multi-variable and Linear Algebra. This quarter (freshman) I'm taking 115AH and there are about 4 or 5 other freshmen in the class (total size around 35), so taking BC early can't be that rare.

hey guys, thanks for all the responses and yes i am in state
my calc class was mostly sophomores so i guess its just our school
and qipao i meant i had straight a's RIGHT now not last year

so i guess just get around a 2200 on sat and i'm good for ucla?

pretty common in my area for people to take BC calc in sophomore year. one kid in our year from blair high school (john kim) took the AP calc test in seventh grade and scored a 5. then he took college math courses in 8th grade

Chill out folks... Calc is really no big deal in sophomore year. Especially if its CalcAB. BC is a little harder, but nothing you need to be a junior for (being a junior doesn't give you any superpowers, or anything).
People in a lot of other countries take calculus even earlier than this.

OP: You're on the right track. Keep up that GPA, do well on the SATs (2100+), and get some good ECs. Try to do something unique (ie: NOT NHS or CSF or piano or tennis... like 90% of the school probably had this on their app).
