I took another practice fromt the red book today, and this is my score:31(30.5)
it looks okay considering that this is my first time to take a practice test seriously....

Eng:29 :O
Math:35
Read:30
Sci: 28

i wanna improve my eng and sci scores....they were pretty bad actually.at least for me....

I'm aiming for a 33+

For those of you who made a huge improvement on the ENG and SCI sections, could you tell me how you did that?

Well, I second Sparksnotes, for some free stuff.

But really, the undisputed best book for ACT english is Princeton Review’s “Cracking the ACT”. It is very comprehensive, yet concise as most PR books are.

For science, the best thing to do is practice. It is not the best to learn on your own from a book, so you should probably stick to official stuff. Look through some of these threads, there is some great science advice here.
