I wanna work in a big city...

...not only because I am a big city person, but also the top MBA programs that are nearby. And when I say big city, I dont mean Birmingham, AL or Columbia, SC. I mean a REALLY BIG city (NYC, Chi, MIA, LA, DC, HOU, etc.) So now to my question: do top accounting programs not located near big cities (eg UVA, UF) recruit from these schools? For example, could a UF accounting major get a job at E&Y in Atlanta or Miami, or would they only be recruited by Jacksonville offices? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.

Yes. 10char

wow thanks lol. And good luck getting into UVA (assuming you’re still in high school)

Why not? The easiest thing to do would be to get a job first, and then transfer. My friend’s brother worked at PwC outside of the U.S., and then transfered to NYC without any problems.

Like Tosh said, your best bet would be to transfer from one city to another. Big 4 firms are very flexible when it comes to changing location.
