<p>Oh, wow, you and I are crazy similar! I’m a black girl living in Memphis. I have mild (and untreated) ADHD, with a 3.3 weighted but super-scored 31 ACT (hahah 35 Eng and 24 Math). My top choice is Wooster; it’s definitely one of the best schools in the country, and I really want to get in there, they give great aid and encourage “independent learning,” which is definitely me. I would definitely recommend Hendrix College, too, though. My older sister is a sophomore there and it’s the perfect school for her; her test scores weren’t stellar, but her grades were, and they gave a great amount of aid, especially because we’re pretty financially inept. I’d go there, but, well, my sister goes there, and they don’t have my [rare] major anyway.
I applied to Wooster EA yesterday, and I had an off-campus interview about a month ago, to make sure my B+ average wouldn’t throw them off. They also have this thing called [||</a> MYCOLLEGEi ||](<a href=“http://www.mycollegei.com%5D%7C%7C”>http://www.mycollegei.com) where you complete a 4-minute video interview, answering a few questions they’ve given you. It’s really new, and they definitely advised me to do it, to thicken up my application.
Good luck! We should talk more; if you’re truly interested in Hendrix, I can have my sister arrange an interview or an on-campus overnight with her or a friend of hers that seems to fit your personality.</p>
